Sylvia is an experienced neurosciences nurse and rehabilitation case manager with a comprehensive background across acute NHS services and complex community care. She developed her senior clinical expertise within Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a Major Trauma Centre, where she worked in the Neurocritical Care Unit ​ supporting patients with acute brain injuries, major trauma and complex neurological conditions.

Her acute hospital experience provided a strong clinical foundation in the assessment and management of acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, motor neurone disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome and other progressive neurological disorders.

Sylvia later transferred her specialist neurosciences expertise into community-based complex care, bringing her acute clinical knowledge directly into clients’ homes. She supported adults and children living with brain, spinal cord and complex neurological injuries, ensuring continuity of care beyond hospital discharge.

Working closely with families, therapists and stakeholders, Sylvia oversees and contributes to safe, effective support for clients.
