Emma qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1998 and has been a case manager for over 15 years. She is calm, confident and effective and works closely with clients in a holistic, collaborative and rehabilitation focused manner. ​ Emma has been a case manager for cases with a variety of complex presentations and enjoys interdisciplinary working to find the right solution for the client

Emma began her career in Neuro Critical Care Units at Southampton General Hospital & Addenbrookes, going on to work as a Specialist Stroke Nurse in one if the UK’s first stroke thrombolysis services. Outside of the NHS she worked as a Deputy Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist at a brain injury rehabilitation specialist home and spent time as a lecturer for undergraduate nurses and nurse associates.​​

Emma is the lead author of the award-winning published outcome measure CM-TOM. She regularly delivers training to the case management community and is forging links with the research community to build the evidence base for case management. She is a member of the CMSUK Research Committee and Chair of the IRCM CPD Accreditation Panel.
