About

Sylvia joined Bridge CM in August 2024, she first qualified as an adult nurse in 2005 and has worked in several hospitals within ITU settings and gained several years of experience within Neurosciences and Trauma Critical Care settings.

Caring for patients within the ITU settings made her realise the impact of how, as a nurse, she could advocate for both adult and paediatric patients during a very critical time of their life where they feel the most vulnerable.

Sylvia decided to further her education and studied a MA in medical ethics and law. Which has helped her to understand the obligations and rights of both patients and healthcare professionals.

Following her experience within the NHS hospital settings, she has worked within the primary care settings as a home clinical trials nurse, working with clients partaking on clinical trials or study within their own homes.

After that she went to work with clients receiving rehabilitation care within their own homes following complex injuries sustained after RTA’s. The patients she cared for included those who had brain or spinal injuries, neurological and congenital disorders.

Sylvia is interested in helping clients feel valued, listened to and respected as they recover and come to terms with their rehabilitation journey.

In Sylvia’s spare time she enjoys gardening!

Sylvia is based near Ely and Cambridgeshire.
