What is rehabilitation?

The Cambridge English dictionary defines rehabilitation as "the process of returning to a healthy or good way of life".

The Oxford English dictionary defines it as "the action of restoring someone to health or normal life through training and therapy"

From these we can take that it is a process, a journey of good times and bad, and it is active thing that you must do and engage in. Successful rehabilitation is not achieved by being passive, by people coming along and doing their bit to you. You have to be active in the journey, you have to do the exercises and the homework to get the outcome you wish to achieve.

Your case manager is there to help put together a team of people to help to you. To gather information and provide guidance on options and strategies. They will ensure you get essential support and equipment that may be required to help you on your journey. And, they will act as your enabler to help you get to where you want to get back to. Whether it's living independently, going back to work, returning to looking after your family, or sports and hobbies. Whatever makes you smile!
