Jenny qualified as a nurse in 2008, having trained though the Royal Air Force at Birmingham City University. She has a critical care specialist background and worked in both NHS and defence environments. She has undertaken an operational deployment dealing with traumatic amputations and ballistic injuries, worked as a flight nurse in aeromedical evacuation and gained an insight into the rehabilitation of service personnel at Headley Court. She continued to serve as a nurse until August 2017 after gaining extensive experience in a variety of clinical roles and different elements of the patient care pathway. She is committed to providing safe, effective and person-centered care, regardless of the setting.
Experience of working in both military and NHS environments has enabled Jenny to develop an extensive clinical knowledge base. Her previous experience has aided her in developing meticulous planning and management skills. As a lateral thinker she is always considering alternative options and scenarios, which gives her the ability to react to situations appropriately as they arise.
Jenny’s military attention to detail is evident from her case management style both in terms of ensuring that support is delivered appropriately and promptly, but also in her reports.
